Powerboat Grand Prix AND the Suncoast Summer Festival!
July 1st - 4th | Varying Times & Locations
The first Sarasota Boat Races, called the Suncoast Offshore Racing Grand Prix, took place in 1984 and have become an annual event for thrill seekers and offshore boat racing enthusiasts. Now called the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix. 2023 marks its 39th Anniversary.
The 3rd Annual Suncoast Summer Fest kicks off the Summer season on June 23 with a series of special event fundraisers, organized by Suncoast Charities for Children, to raise money for local children, teens, and adults with special needs and their families. Events include the 7th Annual Bob Rizi Memorial Golf Classic, July 4th Bayfront Fireworks Spectacular, “Waves & Wheels” Kickoff Party & Fun Run, “Friendliest Catch” Fishing Tournament, and a Casino Night.

Nathan Benderson Fireworks Celebration
July 3rd | 5 pm opening Fireworks at 9 pm
The Sarasota park will be hosting its annual fireworks display and family-friendly event the night before the Fourth. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music starts at 5:30 p.m. with fireworks just after 9 p.m. Parking is $30 per car on Regatta Island and $20 per car in the South Lot, with a VIP experience available for $75 per person. There will also be live music, games, food and drink available for purchase and more.

Sarasota Bayfront Fireworks
July 4th | 9 pm
The Sarasota Bayfront Fireworks, organized by Suncoast Charities for Children in partnership with Marina Jack close out the evening celebration around dark. Like most fireworks displays it starts at around 9 pm or close to sun down. Visible from all over the Bayfront and from Marina Jack, Bayfront, downtown Sarasota, FL.

Siesta Key Fireworks
July 4th | Dusk
There isn't a more beautiful spot to watch the fireworks than one of the country's most incredible beaches, Siesta Key! Launched north of the volleyball courts at Siesta Key Public Beach. Viewing is good south of the Public Beach, anywhere on Crescent Beach, from the Gulf or the Intracoastal Waterway.

Music on Main Lakewood Ranch
July 7th | 6 pm - 9 pm
Join us on Lakewood Ranch Main Street from 6 – 9 pm for Music on Main, a free concert series and block party for the public!
The street is lined with food vendors, beer trucks, and sponsor booths, as well as rides and activities for the kids. Proceeds from the event will benefit a local non-profit organization each event.

Van Wezel's Friday Fest

Friday Fest, the free, outdoor summertime concert series returns this year with an exciting lineup of bands who will bring the audience to their feet! This Friday Fest will feature "One Night Rodeo," an American contemporary country band. Thirteen years and over 2,000 performances in their career has prepared One Night Rodeo for their own launch into Country music stardom. Opening for superstars such as Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Montgomery Gentry is nothing new to this group of seasoned musicians who worked long and hard to get here. Free admission. Bring blankets or lawn chairs, take in the music and the sunset, and enjoy food and beverage from local vendors. Friday Fest takes place in “rain or shine.”

Ocean Prime Is Opening at The Quay Sarasota (SarasotaMagazine.com)
The two-story steak and seafood restaurant will open in late 2024.
Ocean Prime has announced it’s coming to Sarasota in late 2024. The two-story restaurant will be located in the heart of The Quay Sarasota which, upon completion, will be a 14-acre mixed-use waterfront development that will include residences, shopping and dining.
The Sarasota Ocean Prime will be the 19th location for the company, which includes three other Florida locations in Tampa, Orlando and Naples.
“Sarasota is close to my heart, and where I have vacationed with my family for nearly 20 years,” Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, which operates Ocean Prime, said in a press release.
Ocean Prime will offer steak and seafood, like New York strip steak with garlic shrimp scampi.
The 9,500-square-foot restaurant will feature 350 seats, two bars, two private dining rooms, as well as outdoor terraces on each floor.
Guests can expect an upscale menu with options like fresh oysters, sushi, seafood entrees and steak.
